The Dominant Style 

Those with a high Dominant Style are focused, direct, goal-oriented, and competitive.  Think of them as the type who generally prefer leading the group rather than following someone else’s instructions.

The STRENGTHS of D style workers might include:

  • A strong drive & sense of competition
  • Independence and determination
  • A focus on goals

The LIMITATIONS of D style workers might include:

  • A tendency to control & dominate
  • Low tolerance for others’ feelings and ideas
  • General impatience
  • The impression of having a short temper

The Influence Style

Those with a high Influence Style are enthusiastic, optimistic, and energetic. Think of them as the type who use their high energy levels to involve and motivate the whole team.

The STRENGTHS of I style workers might include:

  • Enthusiasm
  • A persuasive and compelling attitude
  • Friendliness and encouragement
  • Plentiful ideas

The LIMITATIONS of I style workers might include:

  • A tendency to invest a little too much emotion
  • Less effectiveness when working alone
  • A vibe of impatience
  • A tendency to act on impulse rather than data

The Steadiness Style

Those with a high Steadiness Style are calm, easy-going, and co-operative. Think of them as the type who are the anchors of the group, capable of providing stability and reassurance.

The STRENGTHS of S style workers might include:

  • A methodical, plan-based work style
  • A strong ability to stick to routine
  • A willingness to be a team player
  • A friendly and supportive nature

The LIMITATIONS of S style workers might include:

  • A reluctance to voice emotion or criticism
  • An aversion to confrontation
  • A tendency to be overly accommodating
  • Change-aversion

The Compliance Style

Those with a high Compliance Style are conscientious, methodical, and are often perfectionists. Think of them as the type who are more reserved, analytical and quality orientated members of the team.

  • An eye for detail
  • An aptitude for problem-solving
  • A desire for accuracy and quality
  • Strong analytical and logical skills

The LIMITATIONS of C style workers might include:

  • A tendency to be overly critical
  • A tendency to put accuracy before punctuality
  • A habit of over-analysing things
  • Can take too long to make decisions
